I don’t think Michael was feeling any pain last nite. Michael, don’t “feed” the paps, so to speak! ;)

Wonder what the handsome man is up to…Isn’t the ADM London premiere coming up? I do sort of hope he takes the next month or two off and goes on that motorcycle trip around North or South America that he’s mentioned in interviews… He needs time off to relax, recuperate, and grow out his hair and beard to sexy lengths! ;)

Whatever you do, do not pass by the oasis without stopping to drink.

That’s the gifs I’ve been looking for—thanks!

Cronenberg, ADM and its stars nominated for Genie Awards

No idea if this went thru before…

Maybe it’s because I feel a bit SHAME-ed out these day with all its constant press, but I’ve begun to feel like ADM is the fotgotten lil’ sister out there. So, I’m really, really happy to get some love at the Genie Awards, honoring Canadian films and filmmakers.  Can’t wait ‘til it comes on DVD, so I can watch that brilliant final scene with MF and Keira over and over again…

BTW—does anyone have or seen a gif of the barefoot and begging Jung burying his head to Sabina on the couch?

(A Dangerous Method slipped in there, too)

…nominees for the USC Scripter Award, a prize for literary adaptations that honors both the screenwriter and the author of the source material.

This refreshing slate of nominees is all the more noteworthy considering the major possibilities that were left out, in particular three WGA-nominated adaptations of hit novels: John Logan for “Hugo,” Tate Taylor for “The Help” and Zaillian for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.” (“War Horse” and “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,” less surprisingly, miss yet another awards opportunity here.) Nice to see the USC panel not following the crowd here, and prioritizing the adroitness of the actual screenplay ahead of the overall pull of the film. Good work all round.

To recap, the nominees are:

"A Dangerous Method" (screenplay by Christopher Hampton, based on his play "The Talking Cure" and the book "A Most Dangerous Method: The Story of Jung, Freud and Sabina Spielrein" by John Kerr)

"The Descendants" (screenplay by Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings)

"Jane Eyre" (screenplay by Moira Buffini, based on the novel by Charlotte Brontë)

"Moneyball" (screenplay by Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian, based on the book "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game" by Michael Lewis)

"Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" (screenplay by Bridget O’Connor and Peter Straughan, based on the novel by John le Carré)
